Douglass Butler
Social Studies Teacher
My name is Doug Butler. I grew up in Maine, but went to college in Rochester, NY, grad school in Missouri, and started teaching in Minneapolis. I really like states that begin with the letter M. I have been a teacher for the past 4 years and started teaching at Wellstone International High School in Minneapolis. I am excited to be back at an INPS school now! I live with my partner Isabel and our dog Libbi. When I am not teaching I like to go on hikes, cook new recipes, and whenever possible get out in a canoe or kayak. P.S. I was on Jeopardy.

MINGYU CARL HUO
Substitute Teacher
Hello! My name is Carl Huo. I teach mathematics in 9th and 10th grade Team EMPOWER!!! I was born and raised in Tianjin, China. I came to the United States at the age of 12. I graduated from FIHS and earned my bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education in Mathematics through the TIME 2000 program at Queens College. My own experience learning English as a second language inspired me to pursue a Master of Science in TESOL at Queens College. I'm excited to rejoin this big family again. I believe every student can learn mathematics in engaging and enjoyable ways. Through hands-on projects and real-world applications, I hope to help students see the relevance of math in their everyday lives while developing essential life skills. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy playing badminton, gaming, and sketching.
